Join us for a weekend of free, shorts film screenings of Baltimore-based student work, organized by our partners at Wide Angle Youth Media, Maryland Institute College of Art, Johns Hopkins University Film and Media and Studio North.

Wide Angle Youth Media:

Wide Angle Youth Media collaborates with and amplifies the voices of Baltimore youth to engage audiences across social divides. Since 2000, Wide Angle Youth Media has worked with over 7,770 youth from across Baltimore City who have produced thousands of media projects about their lives and communities.

Maryland Institute College of Art

The Filmmaking MFA program at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) engages students with the fundamentals of storytelling while emphasizing impact. Our filmmakers explore storytelling as a vehicle to know the world, collaborate, make sense of tragedy, entertain, and increase representation in front of and behind the camera.

Johns Hopkins University Film and Media

Hands-on filmmaking and storytelling experiences are a central focus of both the JHU Film undergraduate FMS Program and the MA in Film and Media Program, and graduates pursue careers worldwide across a broad range of disciplines, from narrative, documentary and experimental to new media, VR, and gaming.

Studio North

Studio North is Johns Hopkins University’s student-run film production company that produces high-quality content for the festival circuit. Founded in 2014, it has funded and co-produced 21 narrative films, documentaries, and web series. Studio North’s films go on to competitions all over the world and its alumni have gone on to top film schools and successful careers in the film industry. Studio North is overseen by the JHU Film and Media Studies Program.
