Film Series at the SNF Parkway

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Parkway Theatre is proud to present the following series:


The Baltimore Student Film Showcase is a year-long celebration of student-produced film and video by Baltimore-area middle, high-school, and college-aged artists that take place quarterly throughout the school year.

Throughout Fall 2019, Science and Film will explore the meanings and uses of science and technology in film through guest lectures and discussion of cinematic examples both recent and historic.

A series of conversations with local makers and entrepreneurs in the Made in Baltimore collective, hosted at the SNF Parkway Theatre.

A film series that focuses on contemporary image based work that explore innovative ways of working with materiality, sound, & narrative.

August - September 2019

The theme of the festival this year is Access. Festival programs will elaborate on subjects such as Access to Power, Access to Guidance, and Access to Love. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature a shorts program dedicated to Baltimore-made films, including B. Monet’s documentary Ballet After Dark and Antonio Hernadez’s documentary Indelible: Abdu Ali. Friday’s Opening Night will feature Numa Perrier’s acclaimed film Jezebel.

The SNF Parkway is proud to host Generation Parkway — a series of family‑friendly films screening weekly on Saturday afternoons.

Beginning July 26th, the SNF Parkway celebrates Stanley Kubrick’s would-be 90th birthday with a retrospective of the master filmmaker’s invaluable contributions to the history of cinema.

Coinciding with the theatrical premiere of Sickies Making Films and the ongoing exhibition John Waters: Indecent Exposure at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the SNF Parkway presents BANNED — a celebration of notoriously censored films.
