Gunky’s Basement returns! July 12, 9pm. The film series curated+hosted by Dan Deacon and Jimmy Joe Roche moves into its new home with a 35mm presentation of Stanley Kubrick’s THE SHINING on the historic big screen of The Parkway. Thanks to Kevin Sherry for this great poster design – on sale at the screening!

Gunky’s Basement is a film series curated by longtime friends and collaborators musician Dan Deacon and video artist Jimmy Joe Roche, in conjunction with MdFF’s director of programming Eric Hatch. First launched in 2010, we’re pumped to reboot the series in a new home after a few years’ haitus! See our past titles here.
